Riding on a car might be a torture for some kids even if it is just for a few miles... not to mention for long trips. We do live about an hour from NYC and time to time we go there to enjoy the sizzling city. My kids are use to long rides but most of the time the get to use their electronics to entertain - what a great help!.
A few months ago, in one of those trips when we were coming home late and the moon was shiny and clear. Suddenly my 7 year old show me his art work made out an app in my cellphone... I just love the way he represented his window view and how he uses technology to do so. As an artful mom, you understand that I keep record of many art pieces from my kids, but this one in particular... touched my design soul deeply. Another of our family trips to museums. The Miami Children Museum was a great experience for my kids. They learned and enjoyed lots of things in a Miami rainy day. Their Children Art Studio area is beautiful they have videos, materials, art history and get the children in a hands on experience. Romero Brito has a great mural there too. Truly was a great day for all! Mom enjoyed a lot too.
Being a mom is an experience that change your perspective in life. I'm thankful for that experience that gives me strength, happiness and so much love every day. My life wouldn't be the same without you guys :).
LOVE YOU, Mom. Here is a picture of my 7 year old playing "bottle caps". He's been having so much fun , collecting them at school and now playing with them. I find out that is a very fun way of play and create. This is also the FINAIL creation, he said is an orange car at the shop and all around are tables and people eating and of course the sky and the street. We both had fun. Spring pictures is in a to-do list for many moms. Schools plan their shoots ahead of time and Easter Bunnies are in every mall waiting for those dressy kids to have the best shot. I like my picture! It was very spontaneous in a parking lot- with my cell phone, trees were in full bloom. Just move my perspective a little so no ugly building in the back. Just my kids and the tree. Sometimes the less is the better. Does this place sounds familiar? Have you ever been inside of an artwork? My kids did, last week. Here they are at the Community Children Museum in Dover, NJ. Where kids can get inside the Van Gogh room. It was a great experience for them, They had fun and they learned. Unfortunately today I received an e-mail telling us that the museum will close in June, a bitter sour news for me. We just had so much fun last week. It's a shame that some places need to suffer from all this economic crisis. This museum was open for 12 years and I'm sure many children had good memories from there. Here is the out side of the exhibit. Children can definitely see Van Gogh room and have the idea of been inside and play. Even lay down the bed as my kids did. |
